Who is Mr. Z?

Hello, and welcome to the site of Mr. Z and Company, LLC.  I excited to meet you.    I was born June 11, 1987, in Broomfield Colorado.  I am the son of Doug and Mikki Stier two of the best parents in the world, and I have a brother named Thomas.  Thomas and I have our club named The Buddy Club.  As a child, I had a vivid imagination, and I was always making up stories and putting on shows for my family and friends.  I knew when I was young that I wanted to make an impact using the power of storytelling.

We moved a lot when I was younger across the United States and in each town we lived our first stop was the public library.  Although I have many stories to share with you, for now, let me tell you how the public library helped shape who I am today.

When I was younger, my father and I took me to the public library with a red wagon in hand.  It was his goal to go home with enough books that could fit in the red wagon.  As a child, the public library was a place where I could escape into the worlds of the books read to me.  The library continues to be a place where I find myself going both for my job as a children's librarian and as a patron.

Other things about me:

*I love, love, love NASA and outer space.  I wonder if a library on the moon is in the works?

*My kitty, Oliver Jones is Mr. Z and Company's, logo.

*I interned at the Library of Congress

*I have toured part of the MIT Campus

*I went water rafting on the Rio Grande in New Mexico

*I am a sucker for pop music

*I am known to wear light up shoes

Enjoy touring the site, and I look forward to meeting you.
