Family Fun! Jump starting Family Engagement


This workshop offers an in-depth and interactive opportunity for participants to create, to improve and sustain family engagement experiences. Learn energizing tips to help families take-home activities to share. A combination of books, puppets, rockin music, instruments and more are included.  Spend time in groups and as a large group to connect. Humor and personal stories from Zach will be throughout the workshop to create a fun and supportive environment. Targeted Audience Focus Workshop welcomes all educators and professionals with a specific focus on professionals working with infants to five-year-old's. 

 

Activate: Sensory Approach to Storytime

Can you smell a story? Can you taste a story? Can you truly here a story? Can you truly see a story? The simple answer is yes. This interactive workshop explores the areas of sensory develop combined with early literacy development. This workshop highlights what a sensory storytime is, how to choose books with senses in mind, different materials and resources to use and social and family inclusion. Additionally, Zach provides personal references to his learning disability to connect how literacy development varies from person to person. Targeted Audience Focus Workshop welcomes all educators and professionals with a specific focus on professionals working with infants to five-year-old's. 

Casting into the STREAM

This interactive and hands-on workshop focus on dissecting STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).  This workshop includes both large and small group activities.  You will spend the time creating something through tinker boxes, going on book marches, creating art and doing experiments, exploring nature through a nature hike and so much more.  Targeted Audience Focus Workshop welcomes all educators and professionals with a specific focus on professionals working with infants to five-year-old's.

 

NASA Motif 

Get creative with space! Join Mr. Z and learn how art can help students explore the Moon and Mars and why creativity is importance for NASA missions. This session will include hands-on art activities including the use of virtual reality to see the Moon and Mars up close.
