Thank you for visiting our website and learning more about Mr. Z and Company, LLC.  I like to take a moment to share with you the journey in opening Mr. Z and Company, LLC.  Throughout my educational journey, I have had to face adversity as a learner.  I realized early on that how I learned was different.   My folks taught me to accept who I was.  They also taught me how to advocate for myself.   I listened to harsh comments from others who said I was not going to go far in my life and that my "disability" as a learner who not allows me to go to college.  Through this adversity, however, I gained the power to challenge myself and to use those experiences as fuel to be a successful student and person.

In the fall of 2014, I decided to open a company to make a difference to educators, librarians, families, and children.  My sole purpose for this company is to make learning fun using the power of storytelling to structure each learning experience I provide.  Why a cat for our logo?  One of the great miracles of my life was adopting my cat, Oliver Jones. He came into my life when I was in a state of transition, and I needed comfort.   I chose him as the company logo as he has been part of all my adventures throughout the development of Mr. Z and Company, LLC.  Who does not love a furry friend?

At Mr. Z and Company, LLC, we believe that storytelling is the foundation for successful learning.  We use storytelling to provide children and their families and professionals an interactive, reflective, and fun learning experiences.  We believe that storytelling leads to an appreciation that each of us learners differently.  Our motto is "It's about you, It's about me, coming together to embrace each other as learners.
